Jae young Jeong is a South Korean-born jazz guitarist and composer currently based in New York. His music blends modern jazz language with melodic sensitivity and rhythmic clarity, grounded in the tradition of forward motion. He has performed at iconic venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Cornelia Street Café, Ovation Hall, Brushes Culture and The Falcon, and has recorded at the legendary Van Gelder Studio.

Over the years, Jae has collaborated with notable artists such as Rodney Green, David Wang, Richie Perry, Steve Bernstein, Bill O’Connell, and Steve Jones. His debut album Deep Sea was released in 2018, and his highly anticipated second album, Straight, came out in the summer of 2025. Jae continues to perform and record actively in the NYC/NJ area, leading his own projects and contributing to the vibrant jazz community.
